Looking for the trip of a lifetime that you'll be telling your grandkids about? Looking to take your colleagues out for an adventure that will win you that big promotion or the new client? Want to see the best that British Columbia has to offer? Look no further.
Born and raised in Maple Ridge, Wade Gienow lives to fish. Offering the best in guided trips in the Fraser Valley for Salmon, Sturgeon and Steelhead. Let Wade show you the best of what British Columbia has to offer.
The beautiful Fraser River is home to North America's largest freshwater fish - the White Sturgeon. Weighing in at up to 1500lbs, these giants will take your breath away. It's not uncommon to hook a fish over 6' and 200lbs in an outing, with the largest recorded sturgeon landed with Gienow Guiding being an amazing 11'4" from the tip of the nose to the fork of the tail, and weighing over 1000lbs.
All of these amazing giants are recorded into the BC tagging program and released unharmed. With Sturgeon living over 100 years of age, you may catch and release a giant your grandkids will be able to catch 50 years from now!
The fish of a lifetime on the left is a beautiful example of a 10'3" Fraser River Sturgeon, that weighed over 700lbs.
For the more advanced fishermen, if hooking a Steelhead is one of your lifetime goals, call to book a day on one of the Fraser Valley's world class Steelhead rivers and you may be the lucky one smiling in this picture.
In addition to the world class Sturgeon and Steelhead fishing that can be found on the Fraser River, it is also home to five species of Pacific Salmon. These fish offer a variety of sport fishing opportunities using standard and fly fishing tackle depending on the type of adventure you are looking for. For more detailed information on this and the other sport fishing available, please check out our "species" page.
